Last week, we went Luxury for Less.

This week, we’re keeping it more practical.

Here are the Scottsdale dining deals I found that are running between Thursday, October 22 and Wednesday, October 28, including a few one-day specials worth knowing about.

This is easily the most time-sensitive deal on the list.

Society Swan is celebrating its first anniversary on Thursday, October 22, with:

$1 oysters

$15 martinis

and a few new dishes making their debut.

That is significantly cheaper than its normal raw-bar pricing, where a half-dozen oysters currently runs $23. OpenTable

If you like oysters, this is the one I would circle first.

Uchi continues to have one of the better lunch deals in Old Town.

The current Lunch Prix Fixe is $25 and includes:

Choice of starter

plus

Choice of main

Current options include Hama Chili, Akami Te, Brussels Sprouts, Crispy Rice, Karaage, and Walu Walu, depending on availability. Uchi

Lunch is served:

Friday-Sunday, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Uchi

And the lunch drink pricing is almost as interesting:

Lychee Martini - $5

Hachi no Hiza - $5

Sauvignon Blanc - $5

Sapporo - $5 Uchi

That's an easy way to try Uchi without turning it into a full omakase dinner.

Toca Madera can get expensive very quickly.

Happy hour changes the math.

Current Scottsdale happy hour runs:

Monday-Thursday, 5-7 p.m.

In the bar and patio areas only. Toca Madera

The menu currently includes:

Benihana Scottsdale is currently running a $3 / $6 / $9 happy-hour menu Monday through Friday from 3-6 p.m. Benihana

And if you want lunch instead, Scottsdale also currently offers a three-course Power Lunch starting at $15.95 until 3 p.m. Benihana

If you miss the anniversary oyster deal, Society Swan still has a strong regular happy hour.

The current High Society Happy Hour runs:

Monday-Friday, 3-6 p.m. upstairs. Society Swan

Current happy-hour pricing includes:

Draft beer - $6

Wine - $10

Cocktails - $10

The menu features drinks such as a mini Dirty Martini, S.S. Skinny, Negroni Sucia, Venetian Spritz, and Sangria Rossa. Society Swan

$6 beer + $10 wine + $10 cocktails

For Fashion Square, that is a very respectable happy-hour price.

Fat Ox remains one of Scottsdale's more polished early-evening options.

Its Aperitivo Hour currently runs:

In the bar and lounge only. Fat Ox

The attraction here is not one giant gimmick deal.

It's access to Chef Matt Carter’s upscale Italian restaurant during its lower-priced bar window, with cocktails, wine, and small plates before the full dinner crowd arrives.

📍 6316 N. Scottsdale Road

Daily 3:30-6:30 p.m. Aperitivo Hour

This one is especially good if you want somewhere that still feels like a real night out.

Cien Agaves is one of the rare Old Town spots that still runs happy hour every day.

Current hours are:

3-6 p.m. daily

and, according to the restaurant’s main specials page,

9 p.m.-close as a reverse happy hour. Cien Agaves

And Tuesday is even better.

Daily happy hour + Tuesday taco specials all day

This is a good one if your schedule does not fit the usual weekday 3-6 p.m. happy-hour window.

Boondocks has several specific deals during this exact week.

On Thursday, October 22:

from 3 p.m. until close. Boondocks

On Friday, October 23:

And Saturday is the bigger brunch play:

with brunch served until 2 p.m. Boondocks

Regular happy hour also runs 3-6 p.m., with discounted draft beer, house wine, frozen drinks, well drinks, and starters. Boondocks

📍 Old Town Scottsdale

Pick your day - burgers, fish or mimosa buckets

This one is more casual than most of our list, but the specials are real and current.

This one fits somewhere between happy hour and dinner.

The Capital Grille is currently running its Capital Hours pairing promotion through November 15 at:

The promotion centers on a Wagyu Burger and wine pairing, making it one of the cleaner upscale-value plays in North Scottsdale right now.

Wagyu Burger + wine pairing - $35

If you want a steakhouse feel without ordering a $70 steak, this is the move.

Not every Dining Deal needs to involve martinis and steak.

Inside The Mercantile of Scottsdale, Bright Side Cafe is offering:

Simple.

Cheap.

And a nice little Old Town stop while you’re shopping.

If I were narrowing this week down to the three deals most worth knowing about:

That price is hard to ignore.

Probably the best combination of quality and value.

Especially on Tuesday when the promotion stretches later.

And one sleeper:

I would not have expected that menu to be quite that aggressive.

This week is a good reminder that some of Scottsdale’s better deals aren’t necessarily at inexpensive restaurants.
