Grand Opening: Saturday, September 26
Old Town Scottsdale does not exactly suffer from a shortage of brunch spots.
But Holla Brunch Girl is bringing something different to the neighborhood: a brunch where the crowd is part of the show.
The new concept opens Saturday, September 26, above Casa Amigos Tacos + Tequila, and is being billed as Scottsdale’s first sing-along brunch experience. We attended the preview last weekend, and that description makes sense almost immediately once the music starts.
This is not a DJ quietly working in the corner while everyone eats eggs.
The songs are familiar on purpose. The room gets involved. Tables sing along, groups get up, people start filming, and before long the line between brunch guest and entertainment gets pretty blurry.
That is really what Holla Brunch Girl is selling.
Yes, there is food.
Yes, there are cocktails.
But the bigger idea is that you are part of the experience.

Brunch With an Exclamation Point
Holla Brunch Girl comes from Evening Entertainment Group, the team behind high-energy concepts including Bottled Blonde, Casa Amigos Tacos + Tequila, The Backyard, Hi Fi Kitchen + Cocktails, Palomino Ranch and Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville.
Their company talks about creating unforgettable experiences, and Holla feels very much built around that philosophy.
The room is designed to move.
A DJ drives the soundtrack, but this is not the standard Scottsdale brunch formula where music simply provides atmosphere. Here, the playlist is part of the programming.
Think songs everyone knows.
The kind where one table starts singing, then the table beside them joins in, and suddenly half the room is doing the chorus together.
That participation is what gives Holla its personality.
You are not really watching the party.
You are the party.
Scottsdale Was Made for This
Scottsdale has become one of the country's go-to destinations for bachelor and bachelorette weekends, and Old Town sits right in the middle of it.
Groups come here because everything is packed together: restaurants, rooftop bars, pool parties, nightlife, and high-energy daytime spots that let the weekend start long before sunset.
Holla Brunch Girl feels built specifically for that version of Scottsdale.
Matching outfits? Absolutely.
Birthday crew? Sure.
Girls' weekend? Obviously.
A bride-to-be looking for somewhere that feels like the party started before she even sat down?
This place may have been designed in a laboratory for exactly that person.
Honestly, this place practically screams bachelorette weekend.
And with Scottsdale continuing to lean into its unofficial “Vegas in the Desert” reputation, the timing makes plenty of sense.

The Food Actually Holds Up
The easy assumption with a concept this party-forward is that the food might be secondary.
It wasn't.
That was probably the biggest surprise of the preview.
The menu mixes familiar brunch comfort food with more playful items, including Chicken & Waffles, a Watermelon Feta Handheld, an Açai Bowl and a larger-format "Girl Brunch" tower designed for groups who want a little bit of everything.
Some other dishes include a Croissant Breakfast Flatbread, Hangover Burger, Strawberry Balsamic French Toast, Orange-Vanilla Glazed Pancake, Grilled Caesar Salad, and Watermelon Feta Salad.
At the preview, the food felt like more than something to soak up cocktails.
It was actually good.
And that matters. Espresso Martini... Soft Serve?
Yes please.
Instead of ordering another espresso martini, you can get the idea in soft-serve ice cream form.
It is exactly the kind of playful item that makes people at the table immediately pull out their phones.
The drinks we tried at the preview were fun too, but what worked for us was that the whole thing didn't feel like someone built a bunch of Instagram props and forgot about everything else.
The food was good. The drinks were good.
And the room had genuine energy.

The Staff Got the Assignment
Another thing that stood out during the preview was the staff.
They were engaged, upbeat, and clearly understood that the entire point of the concept is to make sure people are having a good time.
When you're selling more than brunch — when you're selling an experience — service becomes part of the show.
And the team handled that well.
Saturdays Only — For Now
Holla Brunch Girl is currently planning to open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The expectation is that Sunday service could eventually follow.
After seeing how busy and energetic the preview was, we would not be surprised if that second day gets added sooner rather than later.
Because once word gets around that Scottsdale has a brunch where the entire room is encouraged to sing along, Saturdays may get crowded pretty quickly.

Who Is Holla Brunch Girl For?
Let's not overthink this.
Holla Brunch Girl is for people who want their Saturday brunch loud, social, and a little over the top.
If you are looking for a quiet corner, a newspaper and a cappuccino, there are plenty of excellent places in Scottsdale for that.
This is not one of them.
This is DJs, singalongs, cocktails, group photos, and brunch that can very easily turn into the beginning of an all-day Old Town itinerary.
And in Scottsdale, that is not a bug.
It is the entire point.

Our First Bite: Holla is leaning hard into something Scottsdale already does well—turning a meal into an event. The difference here is the sing-along format. The crowd is not simply watching the entertainment. The crowd is the entertainment.
That is the hook I would emphasize throughout the piece because “Scottsdale’s first sing-along brunch” is much stronger than simply calling it another party brunch. It gives readers an immediate reason to understand why Holla is different.
