Steak 44 delivers essentially the same level of luxury but wraps it in a very different package.

Located at 44th Street and Camelback, Steak 44 feels darker, moodier and more intimate. Instead of Dominick's expansive Scottsdale resort energy, Steak 44 has the buzz of an upscale urban steakhouse.

You enter past a dramatic 3,000-bottle wine vault, while a glass-enclosed exhibition kitchen gives diners a glimpse of what's happening behind the scenes. The restaurant mixes intimate spaces with a lively bar and dining room, creating an atmosphere that can feel energetic without losing its fine-dining polish. (Steak 44)

Where Dominick's says Scottsdale celebration, Steak 44 feels more like a sophisticated city night out.

That's subtle—but when the menus are this closely related, atmosphere matters.

If you're hoping the menus will make your decision easy, they probably won't.

Dominick's specializes in USDA Prime beef, including wet- and dry-aged selections, along with Domestic and Australian Wagyu and high-end shellfish. Steak 44 similarly centers its menu on USDA Prime steaks, Wagyu, and fresh seafood. (Steak 44)
